The De Martino Winery was established over 70 years ago when a young Italian named Pietro De Martino Pascualone arrived in Chile, searching to satisfy his passion for wine. In his quest for the ideal location he decided upon Isla de Maipo in the Maipo Valley because of its excellent soils and perfect climate. Pooling knowledge accumulated through generations of winemaking, and with typical pioneering Italian spirit, De Martino quickly gained a reputation for its tireless commitment to quality. Today, this dynamism is still prevalent with state-of-the-art technology combined with fiercely proud family tradition, enabling the wines of De Martino to compete amongst the best around the world.

+ 2007 De Martino 347 Vineyards Carmenère
Just released! “347 Vineyards” are single varietal wines, composed of carefully selected parcels of fruit from different valleys. The result, a multi-dimensional wine, a fusion of unique character. This Carmenère presents a deep red colour with shades of violet. On the nose, it has intense notes of red fruit, tobacco and cassis that are perfectly accompanied by subtle hints of vanilla. The mouth is full bodied, very fresh and concentrated with a perfect balance between the red fruit, vanilla and chocolate.

+ 2006 De Martino Legado Chardonnay
The 2006 De Martino Legado Chardonnay has a yellow colour with hints of green, with aromas of sweet papayas and peaches and nice mineral finish. In the mouth it shows an acidity reminiscent of colder climates. The grapes were handpicked from the Limari Valley during the second week of March. Before the fermentation a cold maceration was made in stainless steel tanks, then the juice was moved to French barrels in which fermentation took place. The wine was kept in the barrels for 12 months before being bottled.
